What color paint....?
We are in process of remodeling our new home. We have decided to decorate our extra bedroom in the oriental theme. We have some things picked out to purchase when in comes time to furnish the room; bed, dresser, wall furnishings, etc. But I don't know what color we should paint the walls. The rest of the house is basically neutral; almond in the living room, vintage coca-cola in the kitchen, a pale-Pale Purple in our room, and a creamy color in the den/computer room. But I have no clue what color to paint a room with an oriental theme....any suggestions?
A buttery color would be lovely - like old ivory. Then add touches of black in picture frames, vases, etc. this color will flow with the rest of the house, but will have oriental flair.
Jade Green, salmon, or red would be complimentary to the paint color. Remember understating gives a more authentic feel.
