Alex Proyas Takes On Robert Heinlein’s ‘The Unpleasant Profession Of Jonathan Hoag’ (Deadline Hollywood)
Alex Proyas hasn't had much luck lately. The last two films he tried to make,
_Dracula Year Zero_ and _Paradise Lost,_ both got scratched for budget
reasons. He's just aligned himself to _The Unpleasant Profession of Jonathan
Hoag_, based on a Robert Heinlein novella from 1942. Here's hoping he gets to
the start line this time, with funding from upstart company Red Granite.

based film production, finance and international sales company Red Granite
Pictures will fully finance and co-produce Alex Proyas’ “The Unpleasant
Profession of Jonathan Hoag” with Mythology Entertainment, Phoenix Pictures
and Mystery Clock Cinema. Producers are Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland (Red
Granite), Bradley Fischer (Mythology Entertainment), Mike Medavoy and Arnie
Messier (Phoenix Pictures), Alex Proyas (Mystery Clock Cinema) and Vince
Gerardis. Joe Gatta, Topher Dow and Vincent Sieber are executive producers.
Proyas (“Dark City,” “I, Robot,” “Knowing”) will direct “The Unpleasant
Profession of Jonathan Hoag.” The film will shoot in Australia where Proyas is
a resident and operates his production company, Mystery Clock Cinema.

Hi, I am doing a response exam to sources in ancient history and have to see how Hat is depicted in two sphinxes.
The first one is her as a Red granite sphinx and the second is her as a painted limestone sphinx ... what’s the difference? They both kind of look the same?? Apart from the fact that ones red granite and ones limestone

The sphinx had long been a symbol of pharonic power in Egypt. Hatshepsut's Red Granite Sphinx does exhibit her feminine facial structure, but is over shadowed by the sphinx's very masculine body, with well defined musculature. She is also wearing the false beard. Here she is trying to validate her place as pharaoh, a traditionally male role.
The Limestone Sphinx clearly shows a lioness's body. The two statues are characteristic of the transformation she undertook throughout her lifetime. As she progressed towards rulership, she took on pharonic symbology, yet maintained her feminine identity. As her role as pharaoh matured, the symbology she adopted became more intensely masculine in an effort to justify her status. The limestone Sphinx is likely older, followed later by the more masculine Red Granite sphinx.
