Album art mosaic program?
Is there a program that will automatically take my album art from itunes and produce a mosaic? I'm trying to write an HTML album art map but I need the mosaic to base it on. If I cant find a program it means a lot of copying and pasting, resizing and moving!!! Any help will be much appreciated.
There's no automated way of doing what you want that I know of, and to do this manually would (as you rightly point out) be a total PITB...
Do you have/know anyone who has access to Photoshop? There are a couple of plugins I can think of which MIGHT be able to break the artwork into jigsaw-like pieces, but this will still entail you having to export the artwork from iTunes (good luck dealing with that restrictive, proprietary pile of junk!!!), doing the job in Photoshop (subject to iTunes sizing restrictions) and then reimporting the altered artwork back into iTunes......
I'm going to mark this question as interesting, because I'd be interested to find out what (if any!!) solutions folks come up with......
